Healing Your Body by Healing Your Etheric Energy

February 1, 2019 By Seeds of Wellness Leave a Comment

All of us have an etheric energy body that is our physical body’s twin and consists of three major components – aura, chakras and nadis. “The etheric energy system delivers energy to your physical body so that it can do everything that it does to enable you to generate your life experiences. The etheric energy system is connected to the emotional energy system and the mental energy system. The energy bodies are integrated and they speak to one another all the time.”

The etheric energy body possesses negative and positive charged particles that are luminous in nature. “Any given shift in the quality of your etheric energy field reflects as shifts in your body, consciousness, and feelings.”

Aura

The energy field surrounding the entire outside of your physical body is call the aura. It consists of several layers that connect us with the outside world. Astral light, coronas and other names also refer to the aura in different cultures and religions.

A variety of “theories have revealed the aura to have a fluid or flowing state; to be comprised of different colors, therefore frequencies; to be permeable and penetrable; and to be magnetic in nature, although it also has electromagnetic properties… As for the aura’s job, science has determined that this magnetic field conveys information about events taking place inside the body, rather than on the skin. Its purpose is therefore vitally linked to our internal health.”

Chakras

Seven major chakras

“The ancient tradition of Chakras originated in India, and the word translates to ‘wheel’ or ‘circle’.” What we know about Chakras today comes from the practice of yoga. Chakras refer to the universal life force (energy) that circulates through us, and each chakra transmits and stores the universal energy as it spins.

The seven major chakras correspond to different areas of your spine, major organs, emotions and spiritual being. Many believe that blocked chakra energy leads to illness and imbalance because the energy cannot flow freely. How the blockage affects you depends on which Chakra(s) are not in balance.

Nadis

Divine energy, life and consciousness flows through energy channels called Nadis and distributes the energy throughout your body. We feel healthy when all the Nadis are functioning correctly. Physical or psychic problems show signs of Nadis being out of balance or not working properly.

The 72,000 Nadis intersect with the Chakras creating a subtle nervous system throughout your body. Each Nadi carries “energy from the Chakras into the brain, the nerves, endocrine and organ systems, the skeletal structure, and finally to the cell level.”

There is a debate on whether Nadis and Meridians are the same. However, Holistic healing like acupressure, acupuncture, massage and yoga help remove energy blockages of these channels, which improves the bodies ability to heal itself.

Etheric Energy Healing

Several holistic healers help restore balance to your etheric energy field including Reiki, Prana, crystal healing and massage. Meditation, yoga, visualization, aromatherapy and flower essences can also cleanse your etheric body. By cleansing and restoring balance to your etheric energy body, you help your physical body heal.

Seeds of Wellness offers Crystal Healing, Massage and Reiki. Donna Bell, our Crystal Healer, uses crystals and gemstones to help her remove energy blockages, shortages in your energy and other issues in your etheric energy body, which stop the flow of energy throughout and around your physical body. Visit our Healers web page to learn more about Donna Bell and our Events & Classes web page to learn when she will be offering Crystal Healing at Seeds of Wellness. The sessions last 45 to 55 minutes.

Is Past Life Regression Real?

May 31, 2018 By Seeds of Wellness Leave a Comment

Imagine you’re having reoccurring dreams of Concentration Camps from the 30s/40s. The first time you dreamt this, you found it a little odd since this horrible time in our history happened 20 years before you were born. You didn’t even have much knowledge of this time period.

However, you felt very familiar with the people and the place each time this dream occurred. After several months working with a group of individuals that believed in reincarnation, you began getting some answers to questions about your life – your past life. This happened to my friend Cheryl.

About this same time, Dr. Brian Weiss, wrote his book, “Many Lives Many Masters”. A story of a patient that gave him information about a past life during some counseling sessions. Dr. Weiss became one of the leading authorities on the subject and has reported to have regressed over 4,000 patients.

Past lives are more widely accepted today with many psychologist and hypnotist working in the field. Many case studies exist of young children knowing details about times and things in history that they could not possibly have any knowledge of due to their age.

Past life regression

Have you ever met someone that you just felt very comfortable with and found yourself saying, “I feel as if we have known each other for years”? Perhaps you visited a place for the first time, and you know exactly where things were located and the layout of the entire area. These indicate that you have been here before.

People explore past lives for different reasons. For example, a person struggles with a problem or fear that is unnatural. They believe it might have something to do with another life time. Because we are made of energy and energy never dies, many people do not find the idea of past lives as foreign as they once did. Over the years, we’ve learned much about energy and how our energy works.

During a past life session you might discover a talent that you “remember” or get an answer to a trauma that you have no knowledge of in your current life. Past life regression often brings peace and/or understanding to the individual about certain behaviors or habits.

If you want to know more and experience a past life regression for yourself, contact Brenda Mayo at Seeds of Wellness. Rev. Donna Bretz offers group . and one on one regression sessions upon request.

What Is Hypnosis?

April 24, 2018 By Seeds of Wellness Leave a Comment

Hypnosis is not sleep, unconsciousness, mind control or magic. In fact it is a heightened state of awareness. The person is fully aware, in control and able to respond to requests – either verbally or by a signal. No one surrenders control – no magic.

No one can be hypnotized against his/her “will” or made to do anything he/she does not want to do. Anyone of average intelligence and higher can be hypnotized if they chose. Hypnosis helps over-coming fears, eliminating bad habits like smoking and overeating. It even helps with pain control, managing stress and more.

Can you be hypnotized?
Hypnosis is a practice older than medicine. It dates back to the early Egyptians. Today many false myths and half-truths exist about hypnosis and hypnotherapists (hyp-no-‘ther-a-pists). A person who uses hypnosis to treat patients with emotional disorders and helps them over come bad habits.

Like daydreaming, hypnosis is a state of calm relaxation and an education-communication process. It allows a person’s conscious and subconscious minds to believe in the same message. Hypnosis can be used to help a person change behaviors they desire to alter . See the list of possibilities below:

  • Reduce Stress
  • Enhance memory
  • Improve athletic performance
  • Increase motivation
  • Eliminate phobias
  • Decrease pain
  • Improve sexual function
  • Stop smoking

When choosing a hypnotherapist, be sure they are certified in hypnotherapy from a reputable school or organization.

Author: Elizabeth Howell

Seeds of Wellness offers two hypnosis group sessions with Rev. Elizabeth Howell. She is a certified hypnotherapist by the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association through the School of Personal Growth Hypnosis in Strongsville, Ohio. She also has over 15 years experience.

Cost for both group hypnosis sessions: $45 (payment due 5 days before the session. No refund offered if you cancel less than 36 hours before the date of the session.)

Balancing Your Chakras with Gemstones

February 1, 2018 By Seeds of Wellness Leave a Comment

Locations of seven chakrasDo you feel your energy and/or body is out of balance? Using gemstones that correspond to each chakra can help re-align your energy and body.

Below is a guide to help you choose a gemstone for each chakra:

  • Crown (white/violet) – Clear Quartz, Selenite or Diamond
  • Third Eye (indigo) – Amethyst, Lepidolite or Fluorite
  • Throat (blue) – Kyanite, Turquoise or Lapis Lazuli
  • Heart (green) – Rose Quartz, Jade or Rhodochrosite
  • Solar Plexus (yellow) – Citrine, Yellow Tiger’s Eye or Calcite
  • Sacral (orange) – Carnelian, Moonstone or Amber
  • Root (red) – Bloodstone, Hematite or Red Jasper

Different sources name different gemstones, but the ones listed above are the most common.

To balance a chakra, lay on your back. Place the gemstone on or near its corresponding chakra. Close your eyes and visualize your energy flowing freely through that chakra for 7 to 15 minutes. You can balance several chakras by placing a gemstone on each chakra you need to balance.

These stones can also be placed near you as you sleep, wearing them as jewelry or carrying them with you. The closer the gemstone is to its corresponding chakra the faster the gemstone balances that chakra.

Some gemstones help balance the chakras in more than one way:

  • Smoky Quartz – grounds the chakras from the crown to the root
  • Malachite – opens and cleanses all the chakras
  • Tourmaline – cleanses and protects all the chakras
  • Kyanite – aligns all the chakras to each other

Note: Before and after the chakra balancing, the gemstones you used should be cleansed with salt water, placing in the sunlight or putting the gemstones with Citrine or Kyanite.

When your chakras are in balance you may feel relaxed, less stressed and/or energized. However, balancing your chakras is not a medical solution. Call your doctor if you are experiencing any health concerns.

Want to learn more about the energy of gemstones for healing, balancing and protection? Call 440-933-7733 to register for our class, “Learning About Gemstone Energy”, on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm.

How Gratitude Can Improve Your Life

December 27, 2017 By Seeds of Wellness Leave a Comment

At least once a year in November we celebrate what we are thankful for in our lives. Why is this important and should we be doing it more than once or twice a year?

What is Gratitude?

According to the world’s leading scientific expert on gratitude, Robert Emmons, there are two key components to gratitude. “First, it’s an affirmation of goodness. We affirm that there are good thing in the world, gifts and benefits we’ve received. …The second part of gratitude is figuring out where that goodness comes from. We recognize the sources of this goodness as being outside of ourselves.”*

What Are The Benefits of Being Grateful?

There are 7 scientifically proven benefits of gratitude**:

  • “Gratitude opens the door to more relationships” – by saying “thank you” to others, it shows we appreciate them. Many times, saying “thank you” can lead to new opportunities.
  • “Gratitude improves physical health” – according to a 2012 study, people who are thankful take better care of their health and have few aches and pains.
  • Woman smiling as she thinks about what she is thankful for today.“Gratitude improves psychological health” – Robert Emmons’ studies show that gratitude increases happiness and reduces depression.
  • “Gratitude enhances empathy and reduces aggression” – grateful people are less likely to retaliate and show more empathy towards people, according to a University of Kentucky study.
  • “Grateful people sleep better” – a 2011 study about gratitude journals found people who wrote grateful statements before bed slept better and longer.
  • “Gratitude improves self-esteem” – appreciation of other’s accomplishments is an essential aspect of peak and better job performance.
  • “Gratitude increases mental strength” – many studies over the years prove that being thankful and showing gratitude makes the person more resilient, quicker to over come trauma and have lower stress levels.

Many of these same benefits are listed in a Times article, “7 Surprising Health Benefits of Gratitude”. For a larger list of benefits, visit “The 31 Benefits of Gratitude You Didn’t Know About: How Gratitude Can Change Your Life” by Amit Amin on Happier Human.

Ways to Explore Gratitude

Here are some suggestions to cultivate gratitude***:

  • Keep a gratitude journal – every night before going to bed write down a couple of sentences about one or two things you’re grateful for today.
  • Write a thank you note – thank a person for something they do which improves your life and send it to them or give it to them personally. You may consider writing a thank you note to yourself.
  • Mediate – as you clear your mind, focus on something you are grateful for like the warmth of the sun, your pet(s), a favorite food, etc.
  • Pray – say prayers of gratitude, thanking the divine for people and things you have in your life that bring you happiness.
  • Say thank you to someone – tell a person “thank you” even if it is a stranger who held the door open for you.

Write a thank you note to someone
Like any new habit, taking time to be grateful everyday will not come easy at first and the benefits not seen right away. However, the more you do it, the easier it will become and the more you will see the benefits it has on your life.

Get support and encouragement to be grateful and show gratitude by joining Seeds of Wellness’ free “Sharing Gratitude Group” that meets the second Saturday of every month from 10:30 to 11:30am. We will share what we are thankful for in our lives, talk about our struggles to be grateful and discuss the benefits we are noticing as we explore reasons for gratitude.  See the dates for this group in our Google Calendar on our Events and Services page.

Cartomancy: Divination with Playing Cards

July 27, 2017 By Seeds of Wellness Leave a Comment

Almost everyone has heard of Tarot Decks and Tarot readers. But do you know that you can also do divination using a traditional deck of cards?

Cartomancy-divination with playing cardsWhen doing a prophecy or divination reading using playing cards, it is called cartomancy. The exact beginning and origins of this practice is a mystery, but playing cards are known to be used in ancient India and for prophetic readings in Egypt during the time of the Pharaohs. Around the 14th century, divination readings using playing cards appeared in Europe spread by gypsies and became popular starting in the 18th century.

People are called Cartomancers or Card Readers, who perform divination readings with cards. The original playing cards, called Mamluk, from the Middle East consisted of four suits that related to Earth, Wind, Fire and Water and 52 cards. These cards predate Tarot cards, which were first seen in the 1300s.

Like Tarot readings, there are various card spreads you can use with playing cards. Each suit and card has its own meaning. For instance: Clubs are about money/finance and the Eight of Clubs represents trouble in business, relationships and personal as well as jealousy and greed.

To learn more about cartomancy and how to read playing cards, sign up for our upcoming “Introduction to Cartomancy” on August 17 from 6:30-8:00pm. Call 440-933-7733 for more information and to sign up now.
